I am a Director of Photography living in Philadelphia.

I have just returned from two years living and working in Munich Germany. Having a German wife makes life exciting.

I have been in the Local 600 Union as DP for over ten years. I took a pause from the Union roster as we were headed to Munich with uncertainty of work while we were there.

Traveling for work and for personal exploration of the world around us is a big part of who I am. In my early 20’s I took 6 months and drove around the country visiting most of the National Parks. I traveled solo in a small van long before ‘van life’ became trendy.

My wife and I did a bike trip from Saigon to Bangkok cycling through Cambodia.

I’ve DP’d documentaries from the Inca Trail to The Vatican and many places in between.

I’ve heard it said before ‘Ask me where my favorite place is and I’ll tell you its where I’m headed to next’

I feel that traveling and exploring the world make me a better cinematographer. Observing the variety of people, places, and things around this great planet of ours make me think about how to capture unique thoughts in a frame and how to tell a story within that frame.

I have traveled to 48 of the United States and at last count I’ve been fortunate to visit 30 countries around the world.
